Description: Welcome to bosque Del Apache n.w.r.from nov to feb sandhill cranes flock into N.M. Thay live in cornfields by day, and standing on frozen ponds by night for protection. I shot hundreds of phots of cranes, plant life, corn fields and backround shots.This compilation piece is done using a lake backround with 6 layers of acrylic in a pyramid format,with photos of flying and standing cranes.The birds are set from the matt board to the 5th layer of acrylic. from flying in formation in the distance, to decending into the lake, flying out above the water, walking on the marsh grass or standing in a corn field.The birds are on different levels creating depth and the feeling of motion. This piece comes framed in a cherry studio elan shadowbox, with a 7th layer of u.v acrylic. framed size 21 x 20 image size 19 x 20.
